“great place to train for kids and adults alike. My son loves going to the 4-6 class, and I personally attend the adult class as much as possible. The coaches and guest coaches are always friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Definitely recommend at least giving the 2 FREE trial classes a try!”

“Great place to train! I was in town visiting family and asked to do a drop in. The whole gym was super welcoming, and filled with great athletes. The facility was awesome as well-- very clean, new mats and a great judo sub floor. Very modern BJJ with great instruction. I've been to a lot of gyms over the years and this one is right up at the top! Highly recommend this gym to anyone looking to get into training in the best martial art out there.”

“What a great BJJ studio and experience I've had with Lion Up Martial Arts Academy! I was new to the sport, and what makes this gym different is the sense of community on all levels. The adult class is great for levels of experience. Professor Elijah is very keen to his athletes level of experience and fosters a competitive and safe environment. Our children also have studied under him and love it. In addition to practicing the dynamics of BJJ, Coach Leah, Coach Solana, and Coach Kali created a fun and interactive environment with all types of family functions that they host. Hands down, the best academy in the North Port, Port Charlotte area. OSS!”

“My son finally found a sport he enjoys, and I found a friendly group of parents/guardians! They are a family owned business, I’ve been impressed by their top notch customer service. My kiddo is not only learning about self defense, but also discipline, instruction following, working as a team, self confidence, self motivation, and goal setting. My kiddo is in an age group in which skills are taught as challenges and games to get everyone participating. I definitely recommend them!”
