“We were not able to make it out to our normal class which was an hour away. We found MABJJAcademy. Professor Marcus was very welcoming as we arrived and let my kids drop into class. Kids had a great warm up and class focus of detailed takedown. Followed by a pretty technical sweep for the bigger kids. Good to very good gaurd player kids to roll with. My kids left with sweaty and a large smile from working hard. We will definately return for classes and rolls!”

He's passionate about it on a personal level, decades of training and world championships, and he's passionate about it on a coaching level. You can tell he's invested in his student's growth on and off the mats. It's also amazing to see his wife Victoria so decided as well. She runs a lot of the administrative stuff, takes care of their 1 year old, and got her self back into competition shape already! With all that as a base there's a great team and atmosphere here at this gym. I personally just started with very limited experience fighting on the ground. I love how there's a beginners and fundamental class so we can learn the basics. There's also the advance class with a lot of different high level athletes. The best part is they're very approachable and are open to helping you out. I'm glad I joined. If it was just another workout group I would have stop going along time ago.”
