“I was between jobs for a few months and needed a place to train BJJ while I was still in New Paltz. I found out about Virg after trying some other places in the area. His approachability, knowledge, and love for the art of BJJ attracted me to start taking classes. At Malandros, Virg has cultivated an amazing environment for training and the group that attends is wonderful and supportive. The space is also very well maintained which was important to me. I have learned so much in the short time that I have had the pleasure of training here and wish I could have stayed longer. But have to say that Virge is in a class all his own. His deep understanding of technique, his attention to detail, his clear and concise teaching methods, and his uncanny ability to individualize instruction for each student - it's quite remarkable.
