“We love Mario Roberto. After two years at another local karate establishment, we saw little improvement in skills or things they could apply to real-life. Basically, if they showed up they got a new stripe every 3 days: I like that you have to actually earn it here. The skills they are learning will be more helpful in real life to defend themselves if needed. The anti-bullying seminars have been great and I can see my one daughter specifically be more confident in not being walked over. We also love the flexibility to come different days as that allows for other activities. We’ll be members for a long time!”

“I started both of my girls in their early kids program (at about 3 and half years old). We have gone every week since starting for 2.5 years. My kids get mad if they have to miss a class. The kids instructors are great. You really won’t find people who understand kids better than here. I have seen them adjust on the fly to a variety of kids over the last 2.5 years. After a small amount of time in the class most kids improve in both listening and running drills. The team has really helped them grow their confidence. The kids program offers incentives,my kids are very proud of (stripes and belt upgrades). The pace is fair. Instruction for the young kids begins with 10-15 minutes of warm-up exercises that build strength, flexibility, and a strong core. The kids learn a handful of techniques, then end with a fun game that builds endurance or strength. Times work out great (2 after school and wed. a little later). Every parent that brings their kids loves that this place builds confidence. I highly recommend this place to everyone I know.”

I began my journey with Mario over 15 years ago when he was at 4th Street Boxing Gym. At that time, my ego and youth prevented me from fully appreciating the value Mario offered.
