“I was in town for the week and had the pleasure of spending a few days at Method. I’ve trained at a handful of other gyms as a BJJ beginner and Method quickly became a home. Chris and his team have built a wonderful environment for practitioners of any skill level. Everyone was friendly, talented, and heavy disciplined - I was warmly welcomed and kept coming back for more. Chris is a fantastic instructor who offers a wealth of knowledge. The training is intense but, if you’re willing to come out of your comfort zone, Method offers everything you need to succeed. I will be coming back whenever I’m in town!”

“I love their class structure. A perfect blend of detailed high level instruction and positional practical application. I feel like it’s a very efficient use of time on the mat as well as a great workout. Chris and Nicole are extremely knowledgeable instructors.”

“I dropped in for the Saturday gi class while visiting from out of town. As a bjj brown belt who travels often for competition, there's no question that level of instruction and training at Method is top notch. Chris, Nicole, and all of the students I got to train with were incredibly welcoming and friendly - I'm excited to go back the next time I'm in the area and would highly recommend checking them out if you are looking for well-structured tough training!”

“I've been training at Method for over a month now and have been to all of their adult classes (Gi and No Gi). I was treated like family from day one and given as much attention and help as the school's regular students, which I did not expect as a drop-in visitor. All of the students there were very welcoming, helpful, and willing to train/roll regardless of skill difference or size. As a smaller female, it is rare to find training partners who will provide meaningful rolls but also ones who do not use their size and strength to dominate. Everybody I trained with here has moderated their intensity accordingly where both partners get value out of a round. This school seems to have cultivated an environment that promotes good sportsmanship with an actual emphasis on technique over strength and is likely the reason why there is such a great and consistent turn-out of women here. The coaches are very observant and make sure to pair up students accordingly and will regularly jump in as training partners themselves while still monitoring the room. I feel very safe rolling with everybody even during harder rounds. The more classes I tried, the more I became addicted to Method's training structure. The classes consist of an hour of constant functional drills that give both partners specific objectives and/or drilling of specific techniques and then continuous live rounds up to an hour. Once a week, there is a class which purely focuses on submissions and late escapes. Every single drill or round will push you physically and make you very conscious of energy preservation. The only down-time between rounds is the demonstration of the next drill before you are back to working. All techniques are pressure tested against realistic resistance after being drilled which lets you adapt and choose an appropriate reaction to your partner. Classes always start on time and are never cancelled, so you can expect a consistent training schedule even on holidays/weekends. Other than the incredible training environment, the mats are kept very clean and the facility is beautiful. The room does get warm and the hard work more than shows on the mats. The coaches are extremely personable and their knowledge is top tier. They legitimately want every single student to thrive but are also tough as coaches for your benefit. This training is not easy, but it is the most realistic and comprehensive one out there that will prepare you to defend yourself or make you a great practitioner or competitor. It took only a few classes for me to see the school for its immense value and unique culture before I signed up for a membership and am glad I did. Highly recommend anybody try this training for themselves, whether seasoned or new.”

“If distance doesn’t allow Method Jiu Jitsu to be your home gym, don’t make the mistake of allowing yourself to miss any opportunity to drop in. Upon entering the facility, my teammate and I were greeted promptly and warmly by owner and black belt instructor, Chris Might. This may be a no frills gym, but the bathroom is adequately stocked with hygienic items from anti-fungal wipes, mouthwash, q-tips. I had the chance to observe the Saturday morning kids class prior to the adult gi class. To say I was impressed is a complete understatement. The detail of instruction and individual attention surpassed any kids program I have seen. The kids were appropriately grouped by age, the instructor to student ratio was notable, the kids were engaged, focused, and it was evident that technique is at the forefront of Method’s curriculum. Chris is extremely knowledgeable. His intention is clear, he is firm and direct, but displays extreme flexibility in terms of one on one guidance. His approach shows his investment in each of his students and drop-ins alike. At Method Jiu Jitsu, you will learn, but prepare to work. Don’t leave your accountability at home. There are no easy rounds here. The training structure and attention to detail is next level. A few hours at Method, it’s obvious why Chris’s students are not only successful, but relentless, gritty. It was an absolute privilege. Thank you again, Chris and Nicole.”
