“My kids and I have been training at Monroe JiuJitsu for years. The coaches are top notch and the culture is very welcoming to new members, (including women!) Very safe, comfortable and encouraging environment to learn technical JiuJitsu. Highly recommend!”

“Travelling for work and was recommended Monroe Jiu Jitsu to visit. Dropped in for a great class and drilling. High quality instruction and a great atmosphere brought me back the next night for some more rolling. I'll be back next time I'm in town!”

“I am proud to train at MJJ! Coach Williams is not only a 3 stripe black belt but also an Olympic athlete! He trains more than anyone I know, he is extremely active in the school and is very helpful with all students. Coach and his wife do such a great job coaching others. His wife Lindsay helps a lot with the women and children, and really makes them feel at home. I came from another school that I trained at for 6yrs and felt at home almost immediately. This place gives you a great pride and confidence. I have never had a bad experience here in thousands of rolls with coach Williams and other students. They have a fantastic kids program., and there is always a black belt in class willing to help everyone out. Its the best money I have every spent, worth every dime.”

“Been training here for almost 3 years now. I have visited a handful of gyms and this one is my favorite for these reasons: Head Coach - Todd Williams, Olympic athlete that knows what it takes to get to the highest level, only spreads positivity, great mentor in more than just the sport of jiu jitsu, does so much for Monroe and his students behind the scenes without asking for anything in return Kids Class - MJJ built a great kids program. I’m constantly amazed at how great at Jiu Jitsu these kids are at such a young age. Teaches them to stand up for themselves and how to de-escalate. Has helped many avoid bullying. Women’s classes - MJJ offers self defense and women’s only classes. I have heard that many schools are not a great environment for women to join, but MJJ is a place that has grown a very successful women’s program. I would be comfortable with my wife or sister training here. Adults Class - great people that I love to train with daily. In a sport like BJJ you need to have good considerate training partners to stay injury free, and they have that here. Police officer training - coach Todd lets all police officers train for free. BJJ is great for officers because it lets them control a person without using excessive force, punching, or weapons. It allows them to be prepared for confrontation, how to stay calm in stressful situations, and how to deescalate. This is great for officers and the community they serve.”
