I had the pleasure of dropping in for the week at Moreno BJJ, and all I can say is that it’s a great place to train. The members are all extremely friendly and the coaches are very knowledgeable. You can’t go wrong by going to Moreno to learn BJJ. Thanks for having me. I’ll be sure to visit again next time I’m in town.

The Kickboxing coach, Halstun, runs good conditioning classes and puts emphasis on technique and defense. It would be difficult find another gym where you get extensive one-on-one time with the coach for the price. The guys who consistently train here are passionate and dedicated.

I started coming to this gym because my son has autism and loves deep body pressure. I joined so he couldn't beat me up at home. But this group of people have become my 2nd family. When we first moved here I hated it, but coming to class gets me through the week and I look forward to each and every class. All the coaches are great and each have their own unique style and take on Jiu-jitsu. As a woman everyone is extremely respectful and ensures that women feel safe. And the other women in the gym are amazing. When we see other women come, it's very exciting because it's not easy to make the choice to step on the mat. Love this place!!

So I was gonna do a review on my first night but wanted to do a second night just in case. A little background for my review to help you decide. I'm 26 with a metal hip. I havnt done anything athletic in the past 4 years. I wrestled at a D1 level in college. So I decided to finally get off my lazy self and do a free week. I showed up on Wednesday at Thursday No-Gi practice was immediately welcomed and asked if it was my first time. I then was greeted by 2 coaches who again welcomed me and let me know some "policies " or etiquette for the mat. After some drilling or "game" as one of the coaches called it . We did some grappling. Best I have ever felt. (I vomited twice) all the students or other participants were super nice. There was no "toxic masculinity " and are more than welcoming. I went again Friday night to their "open mat" again same experience. More than welcomed. And even when grappling with their more experienced it wasn't just them "having their way with me" (could probably use a better term) but they asked me before each roll what my experience and how I wanted to go. I normally don't take time to do reviews but I have decided tonight I'm going to continue to go. This place seems like a small nit place who isn't worried about money l. All they are trying to do is do something they enjoy and have a place to do it. There's alot of places iv seen that have that "Kobra ki" attitude. This place does not. Please do a free week. You will not regret it. Pros- - nice coaches. -Welcoming atmosphere -Music isn't overwhelming -Bathrooms where the clean Cons- -Google maps sometimes gets funky when trying to find the place (but that isn't their fault) - none. Thank you for coming to my Tedtalk.

This gym is an amazing place to train. The coaches here are helpful and would do anything to make sure you get the techniques right. The students are helpful and are encouraging teammates that help you level your game up. Coach Chris is helpful and is able to instruct all BJJ techniques in a way where you can understand them easily. Keep in mind, I’m a slow learner so learning from coach Chris benefited me alot. He’s a humble nice guy and would do anything for his students. He is caring and has so much passion for the sport. Talk to coach Chris and approach him for all your grappling needs. Coach halstun is an amazing kickboxing coach, he makes us all get rounds in after class to ensure the moves we drilled will stick after class by testing them out in sparring. Halstun is super smart with his striking skills and runs an amazing kickboxing class. He pushes his students to do better in striking and has great amount of experience. I love this place and this place has changed my life and helped me level up my game. This is a great place to train and I encourage everyone to check it out to get some good training in with some amazing training partners.
