“My kids loved jiu-jitsu and trained hard at this gym, showing up consistently and competing with pride. Unfortunately, their dedication meant nothing when personal drama and favoritism took priority over fairness and professionalism. The owner’s wife created a toxic environment, targeting my wife with personal attacks including mocking her as a domestic violence survivor. Instead of supporting a healing journey, they punished it. Our kids were removed without warning or consideration, simply because we didn’t fit into the “in crowd.” Promotions are inconsistent, communication is poor, and favoritism is rampant even with who pays full price. It’s not about skill or growth here it’s about who you know. There are great instructors, but the leadership culture is harmful. If you want your children in a positive, respectful, and supportive space, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere. #GivenNotEarned”
