Coming from another gym, I didn’t know what to expect when looking for a new one. This gym has exceeded my expectations. The technique I have learned from their Black belts have helped me tremendously in my BJJ journey. Especially with my GI. The gym is very clean and big. The environment is awesome. I’ve never been to a gym that is so respectful and so much fun. You really are family. I look forward to their Friday open mats. I also love how woman positive and safe this gym is.

Experiences may very... but I personally didn't enjoy the experience at this gym based on one instructor (who i think is supposed to be the lead instructor?). Again, this is just my opinion, but I had a feeling of being unwelcomed by one of the instructors who seemed almost annoyed the whole time that my sons and I were even there in the first place. I kept my mouth shut, and i think I had a positive attitude the whole time so I'm not sure what else she was looking for. The other instructor/s were good and seemed at least interested in showing my sons and I the techniques/drills for the day. However, during my class (adult class), I was paired with another "first timer" for half of the time, hopefully drilling correctly? The other half i was with another student who had knowledge on the techniques and actually helped me learn the right way the drills were supposed to happen. But at no point did any of the instructors come by to watch or drill with me to help me understand better. Then, At the end of class while the rest of the group was "rolling", the other new guy and me were left to drill the techniques of the day off to the side with little to no advise or critiques on what we were doing. I looked over multiple times to the "lead instructor" while drilling with the other new guy to see if she had any advice or could give some more instructional critiques, but she seemed more interested in watching the other two instructors roll and filming them with her phone than us... After class was officially over, me and the other new guy were told, "Hope y'all had fun," by the lead instructor and nothing else. No "how did you guys like it? Do you think you'll be returning again? What did y'all think of the class today?" Nothing. But maybe that was her way of telling me"please don't come back"? Which is fine, but at least tell me that up front. Overall, the other guys in the class were cool, and the other instructors seemed interested in helping the "new guys". But I feel like if it was up to the lead instructor there wouldn't be any new additions to the group right now for some reason. Just my opinion based on my own personal experience.

New Breed Jiu-Jitsu has been an incredible experience for my kids and overall being around other great people. Professor Lea is a great instructor and all the other adults who help the kids train are exceptional. The gym also has a small area perfect for younger siblings to play while class is going on.
