From the moment I walked in, the environment was welcoming, friendly, and open to newcomers of all ages and skill levels. Marco, the owner, went above and beyond by allowing me to enjoy a free class (3 to be exact) with absolutely zero pressure—just pure encouragement and a great introduction to their training. The atmosphere is positive and supportive, making it the perfect place for anyone looking to start or continue their martial arts journey. Whether you’re a beginner or have experience, this is a place where you’ll feel comfortable and motivated to improve. Highly recommend checking it out!”
“I trained at NJMA over the summer and really enjoyed my experience here! The coaches, Marco and Bill, always gave detailed instruction with various situational nuances. It was clear that they love what they do, and are committed to effectively training their students. They really pushed everyone to put forth their best effort and I felt that there was a collective drive to improve. I also appreciated that I had great training partners who were dedicated and hardworking. I recommend this gym for anyone who wants to challenge themselves and improve their grappling!”
“I signed up for a free class and having no martial arts experience I was nervous, but instantly felt welcomed the moment | arrived. Marco was there to personally greet me, shake my hand and walk me through what the class would look like. I unfortunately was not able to participate the way l'd hoped (because of my own medical issues with my heart) so I had to stop training shortly into the class. Marco then invited me to sit with him, observe the class and chat with me for the next half hour since I had already drove to the class. During that half hour he educated me with a wealth of information about his training philosophy. I asked him some questions about martial arts and what I could do to learn some form of self defense that wasn't as cardio intensive. He offered me some alternatives, but told me my time and money would be better spent training myself technique from videos online since I couldn’t participate in a class environment. He was upfront and honest with me which I appreciated. From my non expert observation, this is the place you want to train. It's not just sport focused, it's HIGHLY self defense focused. You will constantly be training against others gaining skill. And most important you will be taught how to critically think, not just copy moves. This place is the real deal. Marco is intensely passionate about his craft, and if you train here I’m sure you will become that way too. 2 free classes never hurt anybody! So do it.”
“My son did Muay Thai there and he enjoyed his time there. Very nicely organized classes and have versatile martial arts available to try. Marco is so helpful and accommodating. Overall it’s a nice place for Marial arts.”
“I recently began training at New Jersey Mixed Martial Arts and I couldn't be happier with my experience so far. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what they do, and it shows in their teaching style. The facility is clean and well-equipped, making it a comfortable and safe environment to train in. I've already seen improvements in my skills and fitness level after just a few classes. I highly recommend NJMA to anyone looking to learn martial arts, improve their fitness, or just try something new. It's definitely worth the investment in yourself.”
