“Great bjj gym. New mats and perfect location especially for UofL students. Joe is very nice and very good at teaching techniques. The team is still small because the gym only opened recently, but I learned a lot more and a lot faster than in the big gyms.”

“Great spot for bjj. Joe the owner was super kind and accommodating me as a visitor. The gym itself has a cool brick/industrial vibe and is probably the most central to where I was staying in NuLu of any of the other bjj gyms which is a plus. Top notch instruction from Tomas the nogi instructor and I picked up some helpful tips on my nogi leg lock game. Highly recommend this if you’re visiting Louisville!”

“I started Old Louisville JiuJitsu about three months ago and I wanted to wait a little bit before I wrote a review. It has been amazing so far—such great and encouraging people, a lot of mat space in a cool venue I like coming to. My girlfriend and I joined at the same time and we really like it, and it's a cool thing we do together. I also went to a competition this weekend and it was encouraging to see two teammates step up and do well. I was kinda worried about being a burden or whatever when I first started, but everyone w more experience, seems like they can remember what its like to be a white belt lol. Would recommend and it’s always fun to roll with new people. My name is Dru (white belt, but not forever) if you ever decide to come : )”

“A super friendly and accessible gym for all levels and ages. The owners and coaches are all very knowledgable. Their BJJ and Yoga courses are both worth checking out!”
