βWhen my 6-year-old daughter started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, she was initially behind the other students. To help her catch up, we enrolled her in weekly private lessons with Seamusβand we couldnβt be happier with that decision! Seamus has been absolutely fantastic with her. He is consistent, supportive, and knows how to make learning fun and engaging. My daughter exhibits many symptoms of ADHDβespecially restlessness and difficulty maintaining focusβbut Seamus handles this with exceptional skill, which I greatly appreciate. He redirects her in a calm, respectful way, maintains firm boundaries without ever sounding harsh or punitive, and always supports her with the right balance of praise and encouragement. Most importantly, she enjoys every session, genuinely looks forward to her lessons with him each week, and she has improved dramatically! What I love about OM Brazilian Jiu Jitsu overall is that the kids are kind and supportive of one another, even the newbies!β
βGreat BJJ and welcoming place. Really nice community of practitioners. Offers 5am, 930am, and evening classes too.β
βOM bjj is a great place to train. Amazing instruction. Sensi Millard is not only very knowledgeable in bjj, but has been studying various martial arts for a very long time. If you want to learn bjj and self defense OM is a great place to try it out. Everyone is very nice and approachable and safety is a top priority.β
βKids Classes are little bodies in big clothes being kids. Adult classes are big bodies in right sized clothes being kids, :p. A diverse class schedule and open mat, and guest teacher series. students abilities, whites through black. Definitely a great place to learn for me, if you like small gym and close community relationships. I can't compare to other gyms. Om isn't a big place. I have the pleasure of a lot of friendships because of it.β
βOM is a special place. Everyone here is very welcoming and wants to help you learn. Whether you are looking to learn the art of BJJ or compete, either way - Sensei Millard will get you there with support and encouragement. While the main focus is BJJ , OM has a very diverse curriculum which also includes Judo, Striking , and general self-defense for all taught in real life scenarios.β
