“Came for a drop-in no-gi class on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, while road-tripping in California. The class was taught by Rich, and we learned some nice details from bottom half-guard. Rich and the students were all very welcoming and technical. The facility itself is beautiful, clean, and well-located in SLO. Over the past 5.5 years, I have trained in BJJ gyms around the world. “Paragon Foothill is their newest location located inside club 24 on the first level. Very clean gym and head instructor Chris Lovato and his wife Mallory were very welcoming. I took their no gi class on a Saturday. The class had a lot of newer guys ranging in training experience from 6 months to 4 years so Chris kept class pretty basic with and rolled for about 45 min. Chris also took the time to roll with me and tell some stories from his journey in jiu jitsu since 1995. Got some good rolls in and every one was nice and respectful. Will visit again anytime I’m in town and would recommend this location to anyone new or experienced.”

“Dropped in for a class while I was visiting SLO with my family on vacation. Really awesome gym with clean facilities and friendly people. Did a fun no gi class and then had open mat where they let you do as many rolls as you want. Loved that they don’t limit the class to exactly 60 minutes. There’s a clean bathroom with showers to change. Overall it was great and would highly recommend training here!”
