I’ve seen the facility upgrade, the coaches continue to have a growth mindset, and members of all ability levels come together just to sweat! After having my daughter, this place with open arms still welcomed the both of us in so that I can continue training.”
“Great gym! Stop in for a roll while on a weekend trip in Jaco! Friendly gym, felt at home, got a good sweat…what more can you ask for! Osss Professor Machado! 🤙🏽”
“This gym’s been a game changer for me. The coaches actually care they give you real attention, correct your mistakes, and help you grow every time you show up. It’s not just a place to hit pads and go home. If you’re serious about competing or learning self defense this is you want to be.”
“I’m a Student at one of the universities schools that this gym feeds from, so this may sound like more personal problems. But I enrolled for a 5:30 MMA course I arrived late because the school doesn’t provide transportation to the place despite being a course you can take. After I arrive at 5:45 I am informed that the MMA course that I signed up for does not exist despite having MMA on my schedule and instead they have a 5:00 BJJ course or a 6:00 kickboxing course. I took the kickboxing course as I was late, and was given rental gloves because my MMA gloves were not designed for kickboxing and were told I have to pay for new gloves. Afterwards instruction began, despite the fact there were only 3 other university members other than my self, the instructions were confusing and vague despite me having 10 years in experience in martial arts (these classes were designed for beginners). The locker rooms have little security as there are few actual lockers that could be used, so I felt uncomfortable as a new person in this place. Overall I felt scammed, the school neither Pura Vida informed me that MMA was not a real thing, I felt the instruction was sloppy and was hardly a workout, and it took me an hour by bus to go too and from this place alone.”
“Amazing gym all around. They have everything you could want: BJJ, MMA, kickboxing, wrestling, fitness center, a kids program, and leveled classes for both beginners and advanced practitioners.”
