It’s been two years since I first visited Queens Jiu Jitsu hoping to learn self defense skills. From my first day I was hooked, and now a week is incomplete without coming to QJJ. Each instructor is top notch, both as fighters and teachers who set a culture of collective learning and support. Professor Quinn is generous and dedicated, continuously honing his craft and introducing new techniques to class as bjj evolves. Coach Lizz has built the most welcoming women’s class, striking the balance between fun and serious skill development. My teammates have become friends, and they keep me going on days when training (and life) gets tough. Simply put, I not have only learned life skills that give me confidence to safely navigate the world, I found my martial arts home - and I cannot recommend it more highly.

Proud to have earned my blue belt at QJJ. The coaches here are dedicated, highly experienced, and amazing to learn under. Regardless if you are experienced or new to jiu jitsu, QJJ is a friendly environment for all. The training partners are great and always willing to share their knowledge. Not only the best place to train in queens but nyc.

I can't say enough great things about this Jiu-Jitsu gym in Queens! The facility is top-notch, always clean, and well-maintained, making it a perfect environment for training. But what really sets this place apart is the incredible instruction from Quinn. His expertise, patience, and passion for Jiu-Jitsu are evident in every class. Whether you're a beginner or advanced, Quinn tailors the training to your needs, ensuring you get the most out of every session. If you're looking to train in a supportive and high-quality environment, this is the place to be. Highly recommend!

Amazing community and culture! This is the first Jiu Jitsu school I ever joined and I didn’t know what to expect, but everything is great. They have taken the time to build a strong team here and you will learn and be challenged. Coach Quinn is a natural teacher, he breaks things down and builds knowledge expertly. They are very clean which was super important for me and everyone that I have trained with has been patient and super helpful. Thank you for running a great school and business!

Beware: Owner is disrespectful and in appropriate. I tried to resolve an issue with billing and the owner refused to help. Instead he spoke loudly and rudely. Very unprofessional and not a pleasant experience. If I could give it 0 ⭐️ —————— I came for a class at Queens Jiu Jitsu, hoping to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. However, my experience fell short of expectations. Cleanliness was a major concern. The mats and uniforms smelled strongly of sweat and were visibly dirty with hair and what appeared to be roaches and napkins. The gym itself is small and gets crowded. Poor ventilation in a basement. The overall vibe wasn't good. Very male dominated and unkind. Not a lot of women or instruction that allows beginners to grow in the sport. They don’t have many strong instructional practices for beginners. In conclusion, do not go here if you are new. Find a better location that makes health and safely a priority. BJJ is a great sport. Do better.
