*Showers. Bathrooms. Locker rooms. Multiple price plans. No color rules on GI uniform. A women only Saturday morning class* Quinn teaches a well structured jiu jitsu class that actually has a end goal with REALISTIC reactions from your partners encourages you to find your OWN style. Spars with all his students. You have a great amount of partners who compete who will let you experience different moves you will only see at other gyms or casual jiu jitsu players who are here to have fun, de stress, and learn self defense Coach Kevin teaches wrestling classes on Thursdays and Saturdays. Super specific and detailed lessons. Will stop to show you the move again and again.

The best jiu jitsu gym in Queens. Coach Quinn, Lizz, and Jose are amazing instructors going in detail with techniques for both beginners and advanced guys. The community here is also amazing and full of awesome training partners who want to learn and get better together. Made some great friendships here. Some of my favorite classes are Friday's competition class that's free to those who train. Full of tough rounds in groups of 3-4 people to end off the weekend. Wrestling with Coach Kevin is also super fun learning good position and how to perfect our takedowns.

Amazing community and culture! This is the first Jiu Jitsu school I ever joined and I didn’t know what to expect, but everything is great. They have taken the time to build a strong team here and you will learn and be challenged. Coach Quinn is a natural teacher, he breaks things down and builds knowledge expertly. They are very clean which was super important for me and everyone that I have trained with has been patient and super helpful. Thank you for running a great school and business!

Beware: Owner is disrespectful and in appropriate. I tried to resolve an issue with billing and the owner refused to help. Instead he spoke loudly and rudely. Very unprofessional and not a pleasant experience. If I could give it 0 ⭐️ —————— I came for a class at Queens Jiu Jitsu, hoping to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. However, my experience fell short of expectations. Cleanliness was a major concern. The mats and uniforms smelled strongly of sweat and were visibly dirty with hair and what appeared to be roaches and napkins. The gym itself is small and gets crowded. Poor ventilation in a basement. The overall vibe wasn't good. Very male dominated and unkind. Not a lot of women or instruction that allows beginners to grow in the sport. They don’t have many strong instructional practices for beginners. In conclusion, do not go here if you are new. Find a better location that makes health and safely a priority. BJJ is a great sport. Do better.

As a 2012 Freestyle Wrestling Olympian, multi-time Pan American medalist, and 5-time amateur champion in MMA promotions across the US, I have trained at some of the best facilities around the world. Throughout my travels, I have found that the coaching at Queens Jiu Jitsu, under the supervision of Professor Quinn, is truly exceptional. In addition to their Brazilian Jiu Jitsu(Gi & NoGi) program, this location also offers a comprehensive wrestling program, which is perfect for anyone looking to improve their wrestling skills. The facility itself is clean and well-maintained, with space for training and sparring. What sets this Astoria location apart from others is the sense of community and camaraderie among the students and instructors. Everyone is supportive and encouraging, which makes for a positive and motivating training environment. As someone with extensive experience in combat sports, I can confidently recommend this Queens Jiu Jitsu location to anyone looking to take their skills to the next level. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or a beginner, this facility has everything you need to succeed.
