“By far the best Jiu-Jitsu gym I’ve ever trained at or been a part of. Formiga is a 9 time world champion and 14 time Pan Americans champion (as of 4.21.24) who is able to go do what he teaches his students to do. The family environment at Double Five is incredible and the reason why my kids wanted to get back into Jiu-Jitsu. Double Five is such a well rounded gym with instruction for those that want to compete and those that have zero desire to compete. Whatever you want to get out of Jiu-Jitsu you 100% will find here under the instruction of Formiga and his instructors. It is not uncommon for there to be 13-17 black belts in a class training and also helping all the students progress. Double Five allows all gyms to come and cross train at any time and encourages it. Double Five tries to host seminars often to bring in other instructors and show their students a different approach to Jiu-Jitsu. There is ZERO Ego from Formiga and his students. “An incredible gym, full of like minded individuals who all have a common goal, no egos just really good training from a world class athlete and champion in Coach Formiga. It’s also a Family run business which is awesome! I started 4 months ago and have attended beginners classes and doing a few advanced classes as well per week. I know they have kids classes as well… now just trying to convince my daughter to join! The schedule has so many options as well to train at different times. They’ve welcomed me with open arms and I’m really proud to be part of the community. It’s ran professionally and it’s not uncommon to see a range of black belts all weight divisions, plenty of colored belts and they all help beginners like me (huge plus point)!
