“This isn't just a BJJ gym this is a family a community of people wanting to see others succeed and do better. Professor Edgar has fostered something rare, yet powerful his approach to teaching is unique and gets results. This gym is women friendly the level of respect I get as a female in what's a predominantly male sport is beautiful. My whole family trains here. The instructors are patient, kind, but also know how to push you beyond your limits in a healthy way.”

“We are so grateful for Renzo Gracie Bay Ridge! Jiujitsu has become a family affair for us over the last 5 years. Since then we are thrilled to be apart of the kids competition team and the growing Women’s class! There is an extensive amount of classes for us to train all week! Don’t hesitate to try your first class at the best BJJ academy in Brooklyn!”

“I started training here at Renzo Gracie Bayridge five years ago. Since then they’ve become an extension to my family. Not only through the knowledge and experience but the loyalty was granted from the start. My son has also been training here for five years and my wife has trained here since before the woman’s class began. I look forward into my journey here and getting my black belt from Professor Edgar.”

“One of the best decisions I have ever made. I feel so lucky to have found this Academy. It doesn't get any better than Renzo Gracie Bay Ridge. Everyone is like family and you can learn at your own pace. In as little as 3 months I have learned tons. More than that I have brought my kids to the kids classes and my Wife has even joined the Women's classes. So we have a made it a whole family thing for ourselves. These guys know how to teach all levels and make it fun. Renzo Gracie Bay Ridge is the best academy you will find in Brooklyn to practice and learn Jiujitsu regardless of your level of training. If you ever were curious about training BJJ then check these guys out! You will not regret it!”

“I drop in randomly on Wednesday for the 8pm no gi class, I train at a different gym and rep their gear here too. Every time I come it’s always good vibes and they show mad love and respect. Also is beginner friendly brought my cousin who never trained to class and they showed him the same thing and thought him the warmups before class. Overall good gym because of the good people here would recommend for everyone looking to train.”
