Coach James focuses on your strong suits and teaches you based on your needs. If you need to be taught slower than the class or faster than the class, coach will get you to a comfortable speed. I love everybody at the gym too!! It truly is a family! The things we all do together as a team really strengthens every bodies bond. This is exactly the gym I’ve always looked for, a gym where it’s not just getting sweaty and working to the max, but also, a FAMILY!”

“If you're wanting to come and learn jiu-jitsu without getting your face smashed in, this is the place to do it. It's a relaxed atmosphere with everybody willing to roll with you regardless of your experience level. They've got classes for kids, women, and adults. A few of us come in on off days just to roll/learn/hang out.”

“0/5 star review incoming PSA TO BUSINESSES IN THE GREENFIELD AREA Do NOT go into business with James of Roadhouse Jiu-jitsu. As people that follow me know, I am a big proponent of supporting small/local businesses. Not this one. No, sir. The owner has been incredibly disrespectful to property that was not his; going so far as to claim that -- though the wrestling ring is property of Upstart Pro Wrestling -- the ring is his when we are not using it and he can use it how he wants. We laid basic ground rules: no kids playing on the ropes where they could get hurt, no street shoes and no food in the ring. Every rule has been blatantly disrespected on multiple occasions, including letting his DOG in the ring! And yet, we were in the wrong every time. He makes no effort to control the kids not taking his classes, so littles are playing around in the ring (it's not a toy) and on the ropes. "I tried telling them not to!" Who here has been part of any martial art in their life?🙋‍♀️ I have; I grew up with it. Some of the main pillars of any martial art are Respect, Integrity, and Discipline. Sure, none of us participated in his classes but these values extend beyond the classes and we sure didn't get to see any of this from him. While there was no written contract (our bad), he tried on multiple occassions as well to change the terms, which ultimately led to us leaving. 0/10 would not recommend.”

“This is a great academy. My kids really enjoy the classes and have learned a ton. Coach James is a great instructor with a lot of patience for kids. Don’t settle for the rest when you can have the best.”
