“Roots is a great place to learn fighting skills, whether it be striking or grappling. Danny is a GREAT instructor! He’s great with kids and adults. It’s apparent that Danny works hard to create a welcoming and environment for those new to combat sports to come and learn to keep themselves safe. It’s clearly a passion for him. He also trains experienced grapplers to a very high level. I would recommend this gym to anyone interested in self defense, kickboxing, BJJ, or MMA.”

“Started jiujitsu 5 months ago. A friend brought me into this gym and now I am hooked. I attend the 8pm class on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. That time is great for beginners and advanced mixed martial artist. Guys are friendly and there is good camaraderie. Danny, the head instructor is super friendly, layer back, and super knowledgeable. I can speak if you are an adult looking to get into Jiu-jitsu, this is a great place!”

“I've visited probably 15 bjj gyms. This is the best one. LOTS of talent, good vibes, no ego, and plenty of fun hard rolling. I've never seen so many black belts all together. Even the white and blue belts are impressive. I wish this place was in my hometown. Culture is chill and training partner quality/variety is very high.”
