Explore Jiu Jitsu Techniques“This is a great place to train if you’re a beginner, advanced, old or young. Great instructor teaching from a well designed curriculum. This is a good group of people who want to help you on your martial arts journey.”
“Very informative and open environment to learn and improve in all the aspects of training the gym provides. Everyone wants you to improve and guide you through techniques when needed. Coach Matt is great about stepping in to assist in technique while staying open minded to other techniques and transitions. Overall a great place to train and grow, the only thing I’d like to see is more classes in the morning to attend.”
“Been doing Jiu Jitsu for over two years. Decided to add kickboxing to the list. Watched the no Gi Grappling and participated in the Muay Thai class that followed. The facility is nice. The students who train here are motivated and athletic. Great competitors. The coach was knowledgeable, fun and interactive. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and look forward to more. Will definitely recommend others to join.”
“Want to train in martial arts, polish your jiu-jitsu, or find a prime location to enroll your kid? This gym offers a well-rounded curriculum and a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition team, with select fighters prepping for tournaments in mixed martial arts or other disciplines. Classes in Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, and wrestling provide a base for self-defense situations and sport fighting alike. The nutshell: It is especially great here for veterans, heavyweight men, wrestlers, and kickboxers, but we have a range of members. For interested BJJ practitioners, stop by to pick up the kimura trap system, leglocks, and Sumi gaeshi. The kids program includes coaching for personal development, so it's not all about fighting. We are safe to train with if you are LGBTQ+; in fact, I would highly recommend this place. If you are an HR representative, however, you will need to sign an additional waiver to attend the adult classes. (No, really). The mat space has recently been expanded, and you will find it is a growing gym with a unique culture. We currently need more women on our team and would welcome newbies of all kinds, whether you are a hobbyist or a serious competitor. My favorite highlight? That black belt Hareesh, he'll slaughter you! (I'm told he's not at level black just yet, but you have been warned.) I'm also especially fond of the head coach guiding me through moves when I'm lost. I'm a slow learner, which can be misconstrued for not being worth the effort to coach. Coach Matt is patient with me when I mess up, and my training partners help me learn.”
“Saiyan Jiu Jitsu is a decent enough of a place but not the appropriate setting for an individual (a 13 year old boy who has just over a year of training) that is in need of proper instruction. The lack of structure provides little to be desired. If you are looking for a relaxed environment this would be an option, however, if you are in search of training that is needed for professional development, I would explore other options first. I would have given it two stars but the customer service is unfortunate as well.”
