Recently visited @seeds13sanangelo while in San Angelo, TX. I’m not sure how long they’ve been here but, it’s great to see Brazilian jui jitsu spreading to the Concha Valley. The instruction was fantastic, and I enjoyed the cleanliness of the mats and common areas. My favorite part was how open the instructors were to input from students and we were all able to share techniques. They have a new women’s program and I enjoyed some good training rounds. Overall great experience, I definitely recommend checking it out locally or dropping in on a visit!

Seeds 13 is hands down the best Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gym I’ve ever trained at! From the moment you step through the door, you’re welcomed into an environment that feels like a second family. The instructors are top-notch—knowledgeable, patient, and truly dedicated to helping every student, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced grappler. The training is challenging yet approachable, with a perfect balance of technical drills, live rolling, and individualized attention. What stands out most is the sense of community—everyone is supportive, respectful, and eager to help each other improve. The facility is spotless, the mats are well-maintained, and the class schedule is flexible, catering to all levels. Seeds 13 has created an atmosphere where you’re constantly pushed to grow but never intimidated. If you’re looking to improve your skills, build confidence, and be part of an amazing BJJ community, this is the place to be. Highly recommend to anyone in the area!

Some truths two years of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu have reinforced for me: Show up, do the work, be a good training partner, don’t quit, and don’t forget to have fun! As a travel nurse family, we have had the opportunity to train at many different gyms. Our Jiu Jitsu journey began two years ago at 316 BJJ in Rockwell, Texas and continued as we traveled to Rhode Island with Renzo Gracie RI, to Beaumont, Texas with TPC BJJ and MMA and finally here in San Angelo, Texas with Seeds13. Along the way, we have improved our fitness, trained with some really great training partners, learned some new skills, and made some terrific friends. The Seeds family is easily the best place we have trained. They’re great and the relationships we’ve built with our teammates has grown beyond the gym. From travel BJJ competitions, and seminars in Early and Abilene, to local bbq get togethers, we’ve been lucky to find a community of friends right here at Seeds 13. If you’ve been a part of this with us, THANK YOU! Monday is a training day. See you on the mats!

Finding Seeds 13 has truly been one of my most favorite finds in San Angelo. It's not only a place about jujitsu, it's a place about family. The staff and instructors are very kind, patient and knowledgeable. The students have become an extended family to me. We celebrate each others victories on and off the mat, no matter how small. Highly recommend learning jujitsu with this crew!

The best jiu jitsu in san angelo and surrounding areas with the only legitimate belted coach(s) in town. Head coach is very attentive and pays attention to the small details as well as assistant coach Conrad. I would recommend this class for the person who want to compete (the gym just brought back 8 medals from last tourney). To the person who just wants to be more active because this class is all cardio. Also this is great for self defense.-Ty B.
