Explore Jiu Jitsu Techniques“I started training at ShadowHouse Jiu-Jitsu roughly 7 years ago, and it's one of best decisions I ever made. In that time many have come and gone, all were and are welcomed. You are taught as long as you remain respectful, safe, and teachable. I was welcomed in and molded from a nerdy engineer white belt to now brown belt. Bruce is a wealth of knowledge in regards to all things martial/self-defense. If you’re looking for an intense sport, learn self-defense, or just get one heck of a work out, then this is the place for you.”
“Shadowhouse is a great place to learn bjj whether it is for self defense or competition. This place is physically tough and not for the weak minded:)”
“I walked into Shadowhouse a couple months back. I hadn’t trained in around 15 years and got extremely out of shape and was worried I wouldn’t be welcome because of my size but everyone was extremely welcoming, helpful and respectful from the second I walked in the door. I’ve been out recently due to personal reasons but I can’t wait to get back and roll with everyone again. Truly a great place to train.”
“Being a female who trains there I absolutely love this place. I go there to learn self defense so I can defend myself especially if I were to get attacked outside of the gym. I dont put anything in my hair except a ponytail holder as things like bobby pins barettes, and clips can fall out, poke your own head or scratch / poke your partner. Glasses, and jewelry should not be worn as they can get broke, and/or cause a problem rolling or drilling. I dress what is comfortable for me. I personally save the crop tops for outside the gym. There are many positions such as closed guard where legs are wrapped around your waist to me that will feel so uncomfortable. It is hard to train jiu jitsu but so rewarding. I take training seriously as it can save your life. I would definitely recommend this place. Awesome place with knowledgeable people.”
“If you're looking for a gym that offers elite-level instruction, a strong focus on safety, and a deeply inclusive culture that uplifts every student, look no further. This gym embodies the true spirit of jiu-jitsu: discipline, respect, and unity. It’s the kind of place that not only makes you a better grappler, but a better person.”
