“My husband and 2 kids have been training at Shimeru Judo and Jiu Jitsu Club since Oct 2024, and love it! They offer a family plan which is an amazing deal. In just a short period of time I’ve already seen my kids grow in so many ways, especially in confidence & social aspects. Our daughter was incredibly nervous at first (during her trial it took her 40 min to step on the mat!) & now she is constantly asking to play with the other kids BEFORE class. Coach Sammy who teaches the young pups class is incredible with kids. He challenges them, keeps them focused, and makes class fun with games and interactive lessons. The space is big, clean, and super welcoming. There’s a small gym for members, a play area for siblings, tables where parents can get work done, a little store with cool apparel, and a snack bar to purchase small bites. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a local martial arts gym, you’ll be welcomed like family right away!”

“I recently visited this Jiu-Jitsu/Judo gym and was immediately impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. As soon as I walked in, the coach took the time to speak with my daughter and I, making sure we felt comfortable and answering all of our questions in great detail. His explanation of the classes, training structure, and philosophy of the gym was thorough and informative. It’s clear that the gym is not only focused on skill development but also on creating a positive, supportive environment for all students. I’m definitely looking forward to coming back!”

“I can't even scratch the surface on how amazing Shimeru is. The owners, Patrick and Brie are awesome and very knowledgeable instructors. Sammy is a top notch instructor and is amazing with the younger kids. It's an incredibly welcoming place and the other members are friendly and will make you feel like you've been going there for years. Also, a free week trial is incredibly generous. You could conceivably take a class (or two!) every night. It's perfect for kids, as well, in case it takes a few sessions for them to warm up, like my son. If I could give Shimeru more stars, I would. 11/10, will be going here for years!”

“This place is amazing! First of all, it’s a very clean and family oriented facility. Professor Patrick is extremely knowledgeable and helpful with both his kid and adult students. I love how he blends and incorporates his extensive Judo background with his Jiu Jitsu teachings as well, it’s like getting a two for one lesson. There is a lot of mat space, the people are awesome and the spring floors are fantastic. Definitely love coming here!”
