“Most importantly, the instruction is excellent. Nick, Stacy, David, Charlie, and Steve are all great martial artists, teachers, and human beings. They are focused on helping their students - no egos, self promotion, etc. The facilities are clean and well maintained. Last, there is a great vibe - a sense of community and respect for all. After looking at several places around town, Gracie Carlsbad is definitely a step above the rest. Great place for kids or adults to train.”

“Is Stephano really charging former students a $50 annual fee to acknowledge their rank? So, if he promotes you and you start your own school, I guess you have to pay the fee or do you lose your ranking? This is even being looked down upon by the Gracie family. No thanks, too much competition to have an ego-maniac as an instructor.”
