Explore Jiu Jitsu Techniques“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ More Than a Gym A Family That Changes Lives! Stockman Jiu Jitsu isn’t just a gym it’s a second home, a sanctuary of growth, and a family that lifts you higher. From day one, I’ve been embraced by a community where passion meets purpose, and every roll on the mats feels like a step toward becoming the best version of yourself. Coach Alan is the heart of this place a mentor who teaches not just technique, but integrity. His wisdom extends far beyond the mats, reminding us that strength is rooted in character. And then there’s Goob, the “best manager ever,” whose dedication shines whether he’s coaching, competing, or simply cheering you on. He’s more than a teammate—he’s family, a brother who’s always got your back. Let’s talk about Rose—the soul of our kids’ program. Her kindness is matched only by her skill, shaping little warriors with patience, joy, and unwavering belief in their potential. With Rose, Goob, and the entire team guiding them, these kids don’t just learn Jiu Jitsu they learn courage, discipline, and resilience. It’s no wonder this program is among the nation’s best! But what truly sets Stockman apart is the people. Every member brings a wealth of knowledge, not just about Jiu Jitsu, but about life. Here, you’re surrounded by those who challenge you, celebrate you, and remind you that greatness is a team effort. If you’re searching for a place where you’ll grow stronger in body, mind, and spirit run, don’t walk. Stockman Jiu Jitsu isn’t just a gym it’s where ordinary people become extraordinary. Come see for yourself your future family is waiting! 💪❤️ P.S. Trust me your journey to belonging starts here.”
“Without doubt Stockman is superior in all respects. Stockman Jiu Jitsu is absolutely superior in all respects, exceeding all of our expectations. After researching multiple schools, we chose Stockman for its stellar reputation. From the moment we entered, the welcoming environment felt uniquely promising. Meeting owner Alan, whose passion and professionalism confirmed our choice. Our daughter’s transformation under her black belt teacher Andrew ("Goob"), has been remarkable. In just weeks, her demeanor, self-esteem, and sense of purpose have soared, reflecting the school's culture. The dedication to growth, both on and off the mat, sets Stockman apart as a truly exceptional institution. I have personally called and shared this feedback with Andrew that his program is honestly a life-changing experience. The school is making a major impact on the lives of our children. I wholeheartedly recommend Stockman Jiu Jitsu to anyone seeking a program to discipline and instill confidence and respect in their children and young adults. Thank you, Stockman.”
“Training at Stockman Jiu Jitsu has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. As a female student, finding a gym that’s both technically strong and welcoming can be tough—but Stockman Jiu Jitsu nails it on every level. From the very first class, I felt completely respected and supported. Coach Stockman and the rest of the team create an environment that is focused, inclusive, and ego-free. The instruction is top-notch—detailed, structured, and accessible whether you're a total beginner or more advanced. What really stands out is the culture: everyone trains hard, but the vibe is always positive. I’ve learned so much about self-defense, discipline, and pushing past my comfort zone—all while gaining confidence on and off the mats. Ladies, if you're thinking about trying Jiu Jitsu, don’t hesitate. This is a safe, empowering, and encouraging space to start or continue your journey. Couldn’t recommend it more! Come train with us! 🖤”
“I stopped in Stockman’s and watched open mats on a Saturday - I saw a higher ranking person (one of the white belt instructors) submit a person that was about 50’pounds heavier than he was. It was IMPRESSIVE and I signed up two days later. The instruction that the owner and his staff gives is top notch, and they show variations to work around your level of athleticism and body type. The instructors are confident, very competent, and helpful. Open mats are an absolute blast and it is one hell of a workout - a bi-product of this is that I get better sleep than I have in years. I leave feeling like I actually did something. As a beginner, when you roll with higher belts they let you work and learn, and match your energy. I’ve been submitted numerous times, but imo that’s part of learning and is humbling in a good way. There are many high ranking belts that go to Stockman’s which I think speaks volumes. I can’t say enough good things about this place and the people I’ve met there. Gives me something to look forward to. I started when I was in my upper 40s and that IS NOT too late”
“Alan knows EVERYONE by name. We get drop-ins from all over the world. Kind people = great culture People that move away always come back to visit when they’re in town. This place is supportive for hobbyists AND competitors. The gym primarily consists of hobbyists, like most jiu jitsu gyms. All walks of life bless our mats. Alan still actively competes. Anyone who competes knows the Carlson Gracie lineage of competitors. Not cult-ish at all. No bowing to pictures or idol worshipping. Buy and wear whatever gi you want. No paying for belt stripes or promotions. No coercion to nickel and dime you to death. No special titles for instructors. They don’t force you to call them “Professor”, “Coach”, or “Master”. Just talk to them like regular people. Not some weirdo with an inferiority complex. The instructors teach mostly fundamentals with various adjustments for the variety of body types that we have on the mats. They are so knowledgeable and accommodating to everyone. They will try multiple ways to get to the destination (submission, pass, etc.) according to how flexible/fit your body is. They meet you where you are. Don’t use the excuse of needing to get in shape before you start. The hardest part is just to start. I’m speaking from experience. Don’t even worry about the vernacular. You’ll learn everything as you go along. Nobody expects you to have knowledge prior to being taught. There is usually a monthly focus on a position and weekly focus on a few techniques from that position. There’s no ego. They are always improving the teaching process until we get it. They do not do things just because that’s how it’s always been done. They do it better. They teach technique AND concepts. The mats get cleaned daily. Cleanliness is held to the same high standard as everything else. No tolerance for mat bullies/toxic people/behavior. Only kind killers. Unless your nails are long and dirty. Or you’re stinky. We’ll call you out on it. The depth of jiu jitsu knowledge that the instructors display is astounding. It’s like having a super power. It’s crazy to see the smaller/weaker person dominate a bigger/stronger person. I’ve been at this gym for almost 2 years. My only regret is not starting sooner.”
