“Tagg is an awesome professor The gym is huge and plenty of Gym Space The atmosphere was so friendly and chill Highly recommend”
“Absolutely phenomenal gym with great people, amazing atmosphere with an extremely skilled and friendly head coach/owner. You will not find a better jiu-jitsu gym in Philly, I highly reccomend checking it out if you have even the slightest interest in trying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, or if you've already trained before and are looking for a new gym--it's open and welcome to all levels and I cannot reccomend it enough.”
“My first class with Professor Ean was incredible. Was super friendly, funny, knows what he’s doing and would definitely want to come more to learn! Will not disappoint”
“I’ve been training at Taggz Jiu-Jitsu for 2 months. This gym is a gem. 1.) Pricing: Comparable to other martial arts schools/gyms and for the level of instruction. No hidden or random fees. Free Open Mats every Saturday, and there is a free trial lesson for beginners to try it out. 2.) Area: it is in the heart of Chinatown and Center City. There are tons of food everywhere for before or after-class, accessible from Jefferson Station, near the Gallery/Fashion District, etc. Parking might be tough if you drive, but there are garages and lots nearby if street parking isn’t available. 3.) Environment: there is tons of mat space. If one was to stop by Open Mat on Saturdays, then there is plenty of space to roll. Not only is there enough room, everything is kept clean. 4.) Instruction: Coach Ean is super knowledgeable, patient, and genuine. Besides being a world-class coach, he is also a competitor. Literally took 2 white belts to a tournament with 3 weeks notice and had them win matches and podium at a local grappling tournament. With that being said, everyone here is friendly and welcoming, and there is no pressure to compete. Classes have a good balance of live rolling, eco-approach, drilling, and technique.”
