βI had trained in martial arts for about 7 years and eventually had to stop because I went to college. I was apprehensive about returning to it, but those worries and fears immediately disappeared when I got to Tai Kai. The owner, Ken, and the experienced black belts teaching the classes are very friendly and extremely patient, especially for beginners. But it's not just the instructors. The atmosphere is highly positive. Everyone is constantly encouraging you and offering advice on how to get better. They offer a wide variety of Jujitsu, Muay Thai, and boxing classes, so you have several options if you get bored with one. The facility is also very nice and clean, and the front desk staff are very helpful. If anyone is feeling nervous or unsure of starting up martial arts, Tai Kai is a fantastic place to train, grow, and become part of a family.β
βI started here recently and love it so far! You can tell that the coaches and staff are extremely knowledgeable and are great at teaching. All of the people I have met so far have been super friendly, supportive, and helpful and many have been there for years, which I think says a lot about a place. The facilities are cleaned regularly and you can tell. Great package options and class times for me as well as I have a difficult job to work around scheduling with. Definitely recommend!!β
βWent to Tai Kai super nervous and apprehensive on what to expect at my first attempt to train some martial arts. That was quickly changed by the guys/girls there. Everyone was incredibly nice and welcoming and you could definitely tell there was a family atmosphere there. Dennis the main instructor was super nice and helpful and broke down the movements in such a clear and understanding manner. I trained with a man named Aaron who was super patient with me as well. Whole experience was a 10/10. For a room full of trained killers, they couldnβt be nicer. Thank you Tai Kai.β
βI've been training Muay Thai at Syracuse Tai Kai Jiu Jitsu and MMA for about a year now, and I can honestly say itβs been one of the best experiences of my life. The environment is incredibly welcoming, motivating, and professional. Everyoneβfrom beginners to advanced studentsβis treated with respect, and there's a strong sense of community. Iβm especially grateful to the coaches for their dedication and support. Ajarn Kevin Seaman, in particular, has been a huge influence on my growth. His knowledge, passion, and teaching style make every session both challenging and enjoyable. You can tell he truly cares about his students and their progress, not just in technique but also in mindset and discipline. If youβre looking to train hard, learn from the best, and be part of a supportive team, I highly recommend Tai Kai. It's not just a gymβitβs a place where you grow stronger in every way.β
βTai-Kai is an excellent MMA gym. The coaches and staff are kind, patient and extremely knowledgeable. You can tell how much they enjoy the art and passing along knowledge. The members are welcoming and encouraging. I really enjoy spending time here and love the community aspect of practicing martial arts.
