“Went in for a free intro class, and was met with a diverse group of folks and a clearly very committed instructor in Professor Maajid. For a free class, I was very impressed! I was immediately integrated into the group as they went over some basics, as well as a few interesting ground techniques. My sparring partner, who was a purple belt, was instructive and helpful. What I was very pleased to see was Professor Maajid integrating Judo into each sparring bout, with an emphasis on practicality and distinguishing sport from application. I was eagerly invited back. With my other interest in horses, we'll see if I can fit another hobby in, but I would recommend them to anyone looking to explore a practical, technical martial art. Expect a workout.”
