“Coach Carlos is an excellent coach. If you're looking to learn bjj this is the place to go. Coach also takes into account any possible injuries you may have and finds creative ways to work around them. But it's not only bjj that he offers, he's also an excellent boxing coach. If you're looking for a place with a great team this is the place. No big egos, no one looking to hurt the other person and everyone is willing to help their other teammates learn. And the price is unbeatable!”

“Dropped in to train for a day while traveling. The team was very welcoming and family friendly. The mats are clean and spacious enough for multiple pairs to roll. Classes/instruction are good for beginners but also included additional details/variations for more experienced practitioners. Will definitely stop in again next time I'm in town!”

“Incredible coach who focuses on the basics before introducing you to anything advanced. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable and methodical in his teaching, but he also tries his best to ensure that everyone is rolling safely and protecting their partners.”

“Coach Carlos has been a fantastic coach for me, and my 6 and 4 year old. We have found BJJ to be a great after-school activity for the kids, they love it, and it has really helped with their confidence and physical coordination. After seeing the kids enjoy it so much I decided to give it a try and I have been doing it for about 9 months. As a beginner I was made to feel very welcome by the rest of the group, and Coach Carlos has been excellent at allowing me progress at my own pace while also helping me push myself to improve.”

“I have been training, both Jiu Jitsu and Boxing for 7 months now and love it! Being an older person, (66 years old) it’s hard, but very very worthwhile. I have already lost 25 pounds. So, if you think that your too old or out of shape, you are not, all it takes is desire and hard work. As stated above, I have been training for 7 months, and if I was not impressed with Coach Chavez, I would not be attending this school. Coach Chavez really really cares about his students and is able to train students accordingly to their abilities, goals, and physical state. As mentioned above, I'm 66 years old and Coach Chavez seeing my fitness, keeps me rolling (sparring) longer than I think can take, because he's building my endurance, as he sees that I need it! Ms. Chavez is also a very very important component of the school. She oversees all aspects of the school and allows Coach Chavez to focus on his instruction. The students are very friendly and there are NO mat bullies who try to hurt you. I have rolled with many of the advanced students who not only challenge me, but while rolling suggest to try this or that, not to crush me, just because they can. Do yourself a favor and come and experience this excellent school, instructor, and students.”
