“I have been training with Alex for almost 8 years now. His instruction is precise with a lot of details around each technique. The culture here is very friendly and helpful. The higher belts go out of their way to encourage and help make it a great learning experience for everyone. This is the perfect place if you're new to BJJ. Everyone is very friendly and there is a great culture of respect and support. A typical class consist of a 10 minute war- up (lots of bjj related movements) and then 20-30 minutes of learning a specific technique and then the last 20-30 minutes of rolling. It's a great workout and really fun to learn these real-life skills.”

His attention to detail when showing techniques is absolutely amazing. Even better if you can get private lessons. I'm bummed I'm so far from the academy now.
