I absolutely love this gym and I am sad to leave due to my move. Travis is an excellent teacher and coach. Very rarely do you have someone who can teach you a technique and then that same class be able to perform that move against pressured resistance. The gym is also incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful. It has a great culture and everyone is very technical. Regardless if you are a competitor or hobbiest, you will have a great time training with everyone there. If you are not training at Travis's gym, what are you doing with your life?

Fuji Gym has done nothing but positively impact my life. From getting in shape to meeting likeminded people, all aspects of my life has improved because of Fuji Gym. The instructors are so detailed, patient, and welcoming. For someone who’s never been a part of the martial art world, I was nervous to finally take a class but the instructors quickly showed me I’m in good hands and that they value my progression. I highly recommend trying out Fuji Gym and seeing for yourself how much potential you truly have.

Here's the deal: Travis Stevens is amazing. He is an awesome athlete, a fierce competitor, a fantastic teacher and a truly great guy. The culture at Fuji gym reflects this. Classes are technical and intense but fun (maybe challenging and rewarding more than "fun" but I always leave the gym feeling better than when I arrived). Respect for training and for others is paramount. Classes are all about hard training improving one's jiu jitsu with ones training partner and never at their expense. I started jiu jitsu later than most (45) and I feel fortunate to now be on the path under Travis' tutelage. For the record: Kyle, Frosty, Mike, Nate and Haleem, the other instructors, are all outstanding as well.

Joining the Fuji Gym was the best decision I made when I moved to the North Shore. The level of BJJ is unmatched and the atmosphere is one of intense training but all egos are checked at the door. All of the instructors are highly skilled and capable of breaking down the moves so all are able to learn. There are zero "gym warriors" present here--everyone is out to provide learning opportunities and growth, which is amazing and reduces the anxiety that might come with joining a BJJ gym. Everyone genuinely likes one another. If you are looking for a place to train that will truly teach you the art of BJJ and want that environment to be both challenging and fun, this is the place to go. Come in, take a class, and you will be hooked.

The literal meat and potatoes of a martial arts operation. Travis is a true martial artist. I have been training a long time. With that being said, it's rare to see someone successful in competition as well as being a competent instructor. If you're a banker, in sales, or a martial artist, work ethic separates the mediocre and the exceptional. You will not be disappointed in giving this place a shot.
