“Upon entering you’re welcomed with very enthusiastic and friendly workers. The gym itself is very clean and well kept, the equipment is well above average and you can tell they take the initiative to keep the place clean. Most importantly however , the coaching, is very very insightful and you can just tell they know what they’re doing. They encourage questions and appreciate hard work, he takes a training style that I wasn’t familiar with but I feel (personally of course) is better than others. It’s more of a creative freestyle approach, so that we don’t become robotic and unable to think for ourselves. Highly recommend!”

“I’m originally from the Corpus area but live in Houston. This week I came down to visit my family and needed a place to train. I was told by my good friends Joe Brock and Jonathan Spaniol that Tutela 2.0 was a solid place. I will say that they were spot on. The instruction from Prof. Sam Hamid and Mikhael Vasquez-Kool was amazing. It was more the ecological teaching approach which was new and interesting for me. It allowed me to trouble shoot and play with positioning with my partner, which helped instill my own take on the movements and positions. I found it very interesting. Prof. Sam is very patient and welcoming and the atmosphere there is top notch. I highly suggest if you are considering starting BJJ and live in Corpus to give them a try!
