They command respect on the mat, but it’s clear it’s earned through their training style, not demanded. My 5 year old son has already shown growth under their guidance, building confidence, discipline, and a love for jiu jitsu in the short amount of time we've been here. “Vera Jiu Jitsu is a great gym for beginners like me, and intermediates as well. The classes are small, and everyone is really friendly. Adrian is a great professor, but he and his coaching staff never take themselves too seriously and they are very patient. The environment is always very lighthearted, easy-going and non-intimidating. Learning fundamentals is critical to forward progress and they are easy to learn at this gym. Competition is available for those who want to participate, but is not over-emphasized as it is in most gyms I've trained at in the past 3 years. The goal here is to learn good jiu jitsu. There is a high emphasis on safety and injury-free training which I can appreciate due to my age. Aggression is always downplayed over precision technique. Vera has become my sanctuary away from real life. I'll be moving soon, and know that it will be very hard to find a gym that fits my lifestyle, skill level and personality as well as this gym does. Highly recommend anyone moving to the area to give Vera Jiu Jitsu a try before checking out the other gyms. You won't be disappointed.”

“Having never practiced anything like Jiu-Jitsu before I was a little nervous to start and try something way outside my comfort zone! Professor Adrian took all that away with his amazing teaching skills and ability to break the learning down and make it so enjoyable!
