This school is great, it had all the basics you look for, cleanliness, showers, lots of mat space, but the people and gym atmosphere were well above average. Everyone I met was friendly and interested in learning from the several upper belts I saw at each class. The thing that stood out the most to me was the artwork and design, the owners put a lot into having nice touches around the standard with unique art and designs that accented the gym nicely in a subtle way to keep everything looking nice. “VIDA is a great place to train and the entire facility is always very clean. They have an awesome spring subfloor under the mats, which is nice to train on; you can tell no expense was spared with the training space. The Professor and coaches are great and do an excellent job at providing a structured curriculum, which includes drilling and sparring. The kids classes are very structured and mine really enjoy the physical aspect of training BJJ. All the coaches ensure the kids pay attention and stay safe every class. The environment of the gym is very respectful and everyone encourages one another to be their best. To me, equal parts of what makes a gym great is the coaches and the group of people who train there. There is a very good culture at VIDA and I am happy to be a part of it.”
