“Started out wonderful with my 7 year old child. Learning nunchucks, Bo staff, block set, strike set, advancing belts….until it wasn’t. My child was in warhorse karate for 4+ years and we left when he was an advanced belt just below black belt. They were keeping my child from advancing due to our year being up and they wanted us to sign for another year when it wasn’t needed. They kept mixing belt levels in with my child’s class and my child just got so bored doing the same old sets! And unless you’re one of Mr. Tongs favorites (by signing up for all of the extra classes and camps) he won’t even really acknowledge you. It’s gross really how everyone was/is vying for his attention so bad. And while we were there they changed uniforms twice, to try and get people to buy the newest and latest outfit. I would definitely not recommend this karate school.”
