Explore Jiu Jitsu Techniques“Great, clean facility. Top notch instruction. Watsons is my first marital art school so I have nothing to compare it to but I hear it’s the best around and I believe it. This place will teach you more about yourself than it will about anything else. Discipline, structure, confidence, habits, ego. I’ve been going for over a year and confidently can say it improved my life. For me it’s worth the investment. I meet good people, and it gives me a sense of calm…My whole day is better after class. I choke people so I don’t choke people.. know what I mean? It’s a great outlet. Definitely 5 stars. Sign up!”
“I had the pleasure of visiting this beautiful facility in St Louis as a guest instructor and was not disappointed. Owner Kyle Watson has built a massive professional gym. From striking to fitness to grappling it's all under one roof in a laid-back environment. His students are fun and welcoming. There are all levels from beginner to expert with a large number of black belts on the mat. I enjoyed my visit especially my roll with Kyle and hope to be back soon.”
“1 ID Combatives team was traveling through the area and was welcomed in immediately for some training. The facility is clean and has a really nice set up. Trevor was great at instructing and ensured that everyone welcomed us and took care of us. The members are all very skillful and we’re great training partners. I learned a lot in one class and appreciate all the support from Watson Martial Arts.”
“I have been training Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai for a little over two years now and have been fortunate enough to train at a number of academies across the country when traveling for work/pleasure. Watson Martial Arts is without question one of the best academies in the country. The space is huge and immaculately clean, the students are technically adept and incredibly friendly, and the instructors are not only attentive and kind, they are remarkably skilled. It’s one of the few martial arts academies Ive attended where I learn something new every single time I visit. I would encourage anyone in the St. Louis area who is interested in starting jiu jitsu or Muay Thai to look no further than Watson. It’s THE place to train in St. Louis.”
“Attended a Saturday class as a drop-in from WA state. I get nervous visiting new gyms, but you do not need to feel this way with Watson MA. From the get-go, we were welcomed by someone at front desk, got us waivers, and showed us to the locker rooms. We were a bit late, but at first available chance, the coach came by to introduce himself. You can tell Kyle was intentionally trying to remember our names and was really good about walking around and helping everyone out. Good range of belts across the board. There were 4 other women in class, and they were all great competitors. It's an amazing gym I highly recommend to anyone. Their vibe was warm and chill and reminded me of my own home gym, so that was extra nice.”
