“My teenage son has been attending Wilkerson’s Martial Arts Academy for almost a year now. He absolutely loves it and goes 3/4 days a week regularly. He is not a very “sporty” kid, but has found the sport for him. Not only has he gained immense amounts of confidence this past year, but he has also found a second family he looks forward to spending time with. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun while also being serious and informative. Steven is knowledgeable, patient, understanding, and good at giving instruction. There is also no pressure to compete, although there are plenty of opportunities to do so if so inclined. My son began BJJ feeling pretty defeated as he has been bullied/picked on for quite some time for being a “nerd.” He is no longer worried about standing up for himself and has the strength and confidence to know he can hold his own, if the need should arise. I am thankful for Wilkerson’s Martial Arts Academy and the benefits it has brought to my son this past year. I look forward to seeing how he progresses in the years to come.”
