10th Planet Scottsdale Jiu Jitsu

"First ever experience with jiu jitsu started at this gym. Was always a rogan fan and became aware of 10th planet, so popped in to scottsdale to see night class. Immediately met with hospitality - both from the leader steele, and the rest of the crew. Few months in im hooked and made the right choice. Ive since done some drop ins around town and out of state on vacation and grown to appreciate the amenities here. Cold plunge, sauna, shower to name a few. They got a lot of skilled dudes willing to teach you. Frequently have out of towners pop in and i watch the veterans welcome them with open arms. Additionally, for a new guy, they run a 10 week cycle - each week focused on new position (guard, mount, side control, etc) which repeats and has started to resonate for a guy like me. Also, because everyone is so hospitable you can jump in and get exposure to a lot of different things, and try your hand at some rolling which ive come to learn can be approached differently in other places. My favorite part is the instructors will mix it up. For me, my goal is to learn self defense and get a workout in, a “hobbyist”. Ive grown to love the positional sparring these guys mix into the class and has helped me be presented with problems, so that i can better grasp why the technique works. Just something thats helped me. Either way, tons of variety, good chunk of classes everyday, good size crew, cold plunge, sauna, shower, and people dedicated to improving themselves mentally, physically, and spiritually. In my eyes, cant get better than that. Looking forward to seeing where this gyms leadership can take me."
