My son was 10 and I was ...well, older lol. The history speaks for itself but it gets better. My son and I made Absolute our home for a few years until I had to go back to Ga. But we both have good solid friendships we made at Absolute and we both love Dee and the people on the mats. It really is one of the best schools anywhere. Dee brings in BJJ masters from everywhere. "I've had my daughter in different gyms from Johnson City to Bristol TN. I will tell you if the drive is what's holding you back then continue to stay where you are, by far this is the best place to learn jiujitsu. He is a quality professor and the kids are all very respectful and never have to say or do things out of character which is pretty amazing.
