"Such a wonderful place. Our 6yo son attended Gracie Bullyproof for over six months and had an amazing experience. The teachers are incredible with the kids. The kids have fun, bond and become friends, and begin learning the foundations of the discipline and of understanding personal space, bullying, and asserting their own of boundaries and agency. Many (almost all) women teachers and teacher’s aids created a truly inclusive environment. What a wonderful little community hiding in plain sight in this unassuming strip mall. "Bushin Martial Arts Academy of Richmond is wonderful. I cannot recommend them strongly enough! I did not have a background in Martial Arts at all, so I was hesitant to try, but I'm so glad I did! I started training with them in the Women Empowered program. From day 1, I was super comfortable in the environment they have cultivated. The women's class is taught by women which immediately made it feel safer. The instructors are knowledgeable and work with you to make the techniques work for you. They are sensitive to physical limitations and any past trauma that may impact your training. I loved the women's class so much that I eventually joined the Combative's class open to all adults. The instructors have created such a great atmosphere that is safe and ego-less. The focus is on teamwork and learning together. In short, the school easily becomes family.
