"A focus on drilling and repetition, with coaching that encourages folks to avoid taking the path of least resistance. The energy is a bit more serious and professional than other gyms I've checked out. Place is in good repair and clean. The the cost of membership in part offset by an included membership to the YMCA and the potential which comes with that. That last part, cost, is an important one. You can pay $100 a month for other bjj gyms which are only open just for class, or pay $60-80 for coastal combatives / YMCA membership and have a full fledged gym, yoga, lockerroom, child watching and more."
