"I first met Ed in 2019 when I started training in San Diego. Ed is very welcoming and has a great place to train. Ed’s facility is a clean and a safe environment for families. He offers gi and no-gi classes for children and adults. While I was waiting for the adult class to start many parents spoke about how Ed has changed their children’s lives for the better for dealing with bullying in school and to staying fit. Many parents were inspired from watching their children train and want to start training as well. Ed is an active high level black belt competitor that teaches top notch technique for the community. Can’t wait to stop by again and train when I’m in town!"

"Grand Master Edward has bestowed a great honor upon me by adorning my white belt with a stripe. To the uninitiated, this indicates that my jiu jitsu is more jiu jitsu than my jiu jitsu was one finger tape ago. Supreme Grand Sensei Edward Kang III tells me that with this promotion I should (theoretically) be able to tie my belt correctly, distinguish the difference between my left and right hand, and adequately defend myself against most woodland creatures under 15lbs. I will continue to train diligently to live up to these impossibly high expectations. 11/10 Highly recommend. P.S. I am Kalani’s wife. Everything he says is true. My children and I do beat him. If you see him, don’t ask him if he needs help. This will only anger us. P.P.S. The facility is always clean, the people are always lovely, and Coach’s wife makes AMAZING kimchi."
