"I was traveling from out of town this week and called Insight to see if I could get some mat time in between Brenham/La Grange before a tournament in a few months. Coach Peterson was incredibly accommodating. First impression was what a welcoming and friendly place to train, not to mention spotlessly clean. Open mat had great turnout and I got some really good coaching advice during the classes. Coach Peterson is calm, relaxed, positive, technical. He explains things clearly and takes time with the students to work through combinations. The people at the gym I had the opportunity to roll with were all relaxed, good natured, and tough competitors. Enjoyed the focused, positive training community. "I've been training with this organization for over a year with a focus on striking with boxing classes and private Muay Thai lessons. The environment is very supportive with serious workouts in the striking classes and technical instruction. The training is competition oriented including sparring although only some train to compete. I am self defense oriented and appreciate the sparring that gives me a real world feel unlike pure self defense classes I've taken that don't do sparring. Sparring is not mandatory if that isn't an interest."
