"My daughters' (8 and 12 years old respectively)have trained at Miloki Flow Jui Jitsu since it opened in Mount Pleasant. I myself have trained in Martial Arts and work with many Black belt Jui Jitsu enthusiasts. I really did my research before looking where to send my children for martial art instruction. I specifically chose BJJ because it is practical and the kids really learn how to protect themselves in the real world. It isn't a McDojo where they give belts out for good behavior, it takes years of commitment to excel so if you are really planning for your children to learn self defense and not be baby-sat, this is the place to go. Alberto is a wonderful instructor, firm but kind, just what you want for a martial art instructor. It has to be fun but you don't want your child to have a false confidence in their skills and get hurt in real life. My children have participated in many sports and other martial arts, this is the first activity they actually look forward to go to. My children told me if they could go every day if they could. I would whole heartedly recommend this place if you want your children to learn discipline and self defense. Thanks Alberto for coming to Mount Pleasant to open your studio."
