"If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! Reign is truly exceptional! My son has been training at Reign for 3 years now. Before discovering BJJ, he spent a year in taekwondo at a well-known dojo in Katy. While the program was good, I felt like the focus was more on repetitive combinations of kicks and punches with very little sparring. I enrolled him in taekwondo initially to help him deal with bullying at school, but after realizing it wasn’t making much of a difference, I saw a friend post videos of her kids training at Reign and thought, “Wow, how amazing to see boys and girls grappling together!” I didn’t hesitate and switched him over. Best decision ever! For a shy and quiet kid, the growth in his confidence and social skills has been incredible. My husband was so impressed with the changes he saw in our son that he decided to join a year ago, too! Professor Moon is an excellent instructor with a strong teaching background, and he knows exactly how to help kids grow both mentally and physically. Reign also has several black belt professors and coaches, all of whom provide top-notch guidance. I never have to worry about my child’s safety, as there’s always a coach overseeing every roll or drill. The kids all get along well and motivate each other to improve. The parents are just as welcoming—everyone gets along, and we hang out inside and outside the dojo. We've truly become a close-knit, BJJ-obsessed family. The kids work hard in class, and for those who compete, Reign (a Pablo Silva Team) is the top competition team in Texas. Just take a look at their Instagram, and you’ll see the impressive medals and awards! We travel as a team to compete, and there’s always a strong sense of camaraderie as we cheer each other on. To be honest, we see our teammates 5-6 times a week, often more than our own families—and we wouldn’t have it any other way! And exciting news—Reign has just expanded its facility! It’s even bigger and better than before, and everyone should come check it out. The space is amazing, and it’s just one more reason why Reign is the best! "We had an amazing experience at Reign Jiu Jitsu in Katy, TX! We’re visiting from Denver, CO and dropped in for classes during our trip to Houston. The whole team was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Professor Moon and the coaching staff were professional, attentive, and truly cared about each student’s progress. They emphasized proper technique over strength, especially with the kids, which we really appreciated. The class structure was outstanding—organized, engaging, and personalized. Both of our kids really enjoyed training there and felt right at home. We will definitely be dropping in again on future visits to Houston. "Had a fantastic training session at Reign Jiu-Jitsu today. The class was intense but incredibly well-structured, with lots of practical techniques and plenty of drilling. The instruction was clear, and the coaches were super knowledgeable. I had previously seen Reign’s team compete at a JJWL youth tournament in Los Angeles — they left a strong impression on me and my son. Today, my son joined one of their kids’ classes in Houston and absolutely loved it. He said this is the kind of pace and training style he’s been looking for.
