Master Rafael is a black belt world champion with many years of experience. This allows him to point out small details about techniques and training mindset that really enrich the class. When my daughter started training there, we were just hoping she’d get some exercise and learn self-defense — but what she gained was so much more. The discipline, confidence, and respect she learned on the mats made a real difference in her behavior and how she carried herself day to day. The coaches didn’t just teach technique — they taught life skills, and they did it with so much care and patience. "I loved it when my son joined the school. However, I am very concerned that my son was hit at school without doing anything by one the twin students, a 10 year old that practice here and it was really bad. The excuse was that he is a “competitor fighter” and I’m sure that this was not what they teach here. I hope that if this kid still practices here, you take seriously speaking with the parents and the kid, because in my understanding the coaches are amazing well trained professionals and I am sure that they teach property, but it looks like the student is taking it the wrong way, bullying and hitting others. :("

"We absolutely love START Jiu Jitsu! Our boys have been attending over a year and a half now and we couldn't be happier. They have lots of fun while also learning and practicing defense techniques, core values and discipline. It is evident that the coaches and professors are deeply invested in their students and their performance, not only on the mat, but also at home.
