"I've been training muay thai here for almost a year. The logistics can't be beat. $75 a month gets you access to muay thai, jiu jitsu, judo, and open mats every single day. You can also trial any of the classes for free your first week, complete with loaner gear. The vibes are great! It is still a gym at the end of the day, which means it's heavily male dominated and I would (affectionately) say there is definitely a gym-bro culture. But I will also say this - I have seen people of all ages, abilities, ethnicities, and sizes... all having a blast. The BJJ crowd in particular has an impressive number of badass women. I am a non-white woman and often the smallest person in my muay thai class. Yet I have always felt safe, respected, and welcome here. These are combat sports, not cardio kickboxing, so being challenged and getting hit is expected. However, everyone is appropriately gentle or tough depending on what's communicated. I have a lot of admiration for the teaching style. The instructors will go out of their way to help you with basics if you are a beginner. If you have questions, they (and classmates) will gladly answer. Otherwise it's very much on you to watch, follow, and try. However, there is no hand holding or sugar coating. On day one you practice with real people in muay thai and BJJ, even if it's simple drills. Experience is gained through showing up and putting in the effort, and you will get out of this exactly how much you put in. In this way, I think the learning curve is a bit steep. But I also think the growth is faster too, if you stick with it. I am the last person you'd expect in a place like this. I am not athletic, I have no sports or martial arts backgrounds whatsoever, and I have never felt comfortable with gyms... Yet I love Traphouse like it's my second home. If you are on the fence about trying martial arts, take the leap of faith. Traphouse will welcome you!"

"I want to thank all of the owner/instructors/everyone at Traphouse, great group of people. They offer Gi (Traditional Uniform) Jujitsu with belt ranks, No-Gi (plain clothes) Jiujitsu, Boxing, MMA, Judo, and Muay Thai. Everyone comes from different backgrounds and for different reasons. Ive been to gyms where they were adamant that everyone that came in wanted to be a cage fighter. This place is not like that, but very friendly. If your looking to get fit or lose weight the Muay Thai, MMA, and grappling (gi or no-gi) will wear you out in a good way. If your a beginner looking to learn new skills, look no further. Instructors are knowledgeable and they break down the moves, combos, etc... that are easy to follow and learn from. Price wise no other gym in the area can beat it, with no contract. All I can say is come try it out, you wont be disappointed."

"As someone who travels a lot and drops into different gyms, I can honestly say Traphouse Jiu Jitsu is one of the best places I've trained at. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was incredibly welcoming and friendly, which made me feel right at home despite being a visitor. The people there are awesome—everyone is supportive and eager to help each other improve. The technique and coaching are top-tier, and it’s clear they really care about giving everyone the best experience. Whether you're a seasoned grappler or just starting, the community at Traphouse makes it easy to fit in. Thank you for having me!"

"It’s the perfect gym and ever since moving I haven’t found another like it. Traphouse will always be the one that got away. I started here and moved away for work after about 3 years. Stuck with it because of the knowledge of the instructors, positive energy throughout, and the hard rolls. Best gym out there. If you’re new and a little nervous like I was to start, go in and feel welcomed to train. You won’t regret it. 5 stars. miss y’all."
