"I had a wonderful and memorable time training for Jiu Jitsu at Professor Javier's Velez Jiu Jitsu academy. Professor conducts the training session in a fun and friendly way. He simplifies the complicated JJ moves, gives many check points for the techniques and explains the flow very well. We practice the techniques effectively with fellow training mates for certain duration of time. Professor closely watches us and corrects us. Higher belts training mates are always willing to teach white belt trainees, help us improve our techniques. During the roll, they give us space to work on moves and some times they let us submit them. Much respect. This academy emphasizes a lot on rolling after training session. I find it as an effective way to better our techniques and also to improve our confidence level. Professor and his team ensure safe space for rolling. Training mates too intend to help us improve. Special mention to Coach Drew, Coach Rick, Coach Carlos. They provide their valuable time for helping us fine tune our techniques, they are willing to spend time for a quick one and one discussion too. Coach Carlos's enthusiasm and passion are very contagious. He is always friendly and encouraging. Enjoyed training with him. I thank Professor Javier again for such a wonderful academy and training mates. Bettered my technique and confidence level. Highly recommend this academy."
