West Coast Martial Arts/ Machado Jiu Jitsu

"I brought my grandson for a trial. I was not pleased with our experience there. We learned a small amount about Jiu Jitsu. I did not see any Martial Arts. Update: I see your response and I am truly horrified. I am a long time Google Reviewer and also a Retired Registered Nurse of 45 years. I did not see what you claim and I am certain that you have bigger problems than this low review. I did not have any complaints that I discussed with the parent next to me and enjoyed my time speaking with the other parents. To villify a child that has never had any experience with this kind of martial arts and pair him with a child that is 1/2 his size is challenging at best. I can accept your view that my grandson is not ready for this class. In fact, that is the purpose of taking a trial class. We would have even been willing to discuss one on one classes to get him ready for a group class like this because we recognize the benefits. Not every setting or instructor is a good fit but your customer service is absolutely terrible. Not your team...YOU!You had a perfect opportunity to reach out to us and show your professionalism but instead you did the complete opposite. Although this bad review seemed to enrage you, continue to do good work for the community. Sometimes reviews may seem unfair but they are an opportunity to continue to do your good work and educate others about your style of martial arts. I think you forgot that at some point while you were typing a response. Other than physical attacks, I hope that you teach your students about verbal attacks as well. "My family has been stationed at the Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center for the last three years - this remote and isolated installation in the middle of the Eastern Sierras can be challenging for a lot of families. Lucky for us, we found Professor George, Miss Shelbie and the family at West Coast World Martial Arts/Carlos Machado BJJ. My son started at 3 years old and, has since, come into his own as a little person. He is learning discipline, respect and an invaluable self-defense from the best in the game.
